Hearty Meals For Those In Need: Our First Volunteer Food Distribution

“Angels Of Charity Provide Hot Meals To Our Reno Homeless Community.

On April 17th, Angels of Charity partnered with St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral and Women of St. Thomas Aquinas (WSTA) to prepare hot chili meals that were distributed directly to homeless community members living on the streets.

The event took place at Righini Hall where volunteers from both organizations came together to help make warm and hearty meals guaranteed going-out for dinner. Two teams assembled – one team assisting with food preparation in the kitchen while another went out delivering prepared dishes to our unsheltered brothers and sisters along the railroad tracks.

This was an exciting first-time effort by Angels Of Charity helping bring warmth as well comfort onto those experiencing homelessness, not only uplifting the mood but inducing hope/faith within the hearts of our fellow unsheltered community members.

As we wrap up our recount of this memorable event, a heartfelt thank you is in order for all the dedicated volunteers who came together to make it possible. Your faith and love helped bring warmth and comfort to those experiencing homelessness.

In reflecting on your generosity, we turn to Galatians 6:9-10: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Once again – from every heart touched by your act of compassion – Thank You!
